Everything's Coming Up Roses

Just a few lovely pictures to day dream over. Roses actually grow very well here in Kansas. I'm surprised more people don't have them in their yard. My mission is to keep adding more and more flowers to my yard each year so by the time I'm 90 it will be a palette of color to wander through. My peonies are in full bloom and the scent is the most heavenly thing around. I put a bouquet of them on the dining room table, and just walking by I go into a trance.

Yes, roses do grow very well in Kansas. Our peonies are about gone -- we're a week or two ahead of you. Interesting what 100 miles will do!

Beautiful pictures.

Mary & Ben's babysitter had the most beautiful rose bushes in her landscaping and it was such a delight to behold every morning in the spring and fall! I also would pass by the trimmed back bushes during the winter just knowing that they would return in a few short months! Somehow those rose bushes made dropping of my own "American Beauties" that much easier! LOL

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your kind comments!

Your roses are just beautiful. We have 2 rose bushes in our backyard. It looks so nice and sunny there. It has rained here ALL week! I have a friend that lives in Overland Park, but I've never been there. Thanks for posting such lovely pictures.

Your roses are absolutely gorgeous! Being surrounded by such color must be wonderful.

My peonies still have a week or so to go. The weather here in New England has been chiiiiilly (which I love), but the buds are getting a little bigger every day.

My heart aches when I look at your gorgeous roses...and I mean that sincerely! I had SO many roses I had collected...all gone! I am starting from scratch. Next year maybe I will feel better. I now have three and I will keep at it and hope in a couple of years it will look a tiny bit like yours... :)
Thank you for sharing your roses with us!
