I'm Back!

October 2016

First and foremost, I just want to say how much I have missed blogging and connecting with my friends. I have met some WONDERFUL people through blogging, some whom I have even had the opportunity to meet in person, which just warms my heart.

Blogging is a great way to connect with other who share a common interest. It is MAGICAL when you find kindred spirits along the way!

I cringed when I saw the date of my last post!  I remembered how I felt when I would find someone and wanted to connect, and was bummed out to find they haven't been active.

But HEY, I've been buzzzzzzy! For instance....this numero uno lady in my life, my beautiful daughter Nadia GOT MARRIED in June!!! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful son-in-law Jon, whom is a men among men and gives the best hugs on the planet!

Months of planning, preparation, two bridal showers, and loads of family visiting and it was all WONDERFUL!
Okay...one more, since I am so happy for these lovebirds!

And....the Honeymoon in Hawaii!

Dan the Man and I celebrated our anniversary in October and took a week vacation staycation and had a blast going places within a 2 hour radius of KC.

Every day we had an adventure and had the most FABULOUS fall weather!
Shoal Creek, Kansas City, MO
Bothwell Mansion Lodge, Sedalia, MO
Watkins Woolen Mill in Lawson, MO

Shatto Dairy Farm with Dan the Man enjoying the finer notes of their
vanilla ice cream in Osborn, MO

These little new little calves who will providing milk for many happy Kansan and Missourians.

The Mahaffie Stagecoach Farmstead in Olathe, KS

Some other mischief we got into but not photo documented are:

  • Miami County Kansas Farm Tour (too busy eating Artisan cheese, fresh pecans and fresh picked apples to bust the camera out.
  • Going to the national Archives to research Family History.
  • Driving to rural towns to enjoy the wonderful architecture of historical homes.
If that wasn't enough, we had the cu de gras of spoiling ourselves silly by going to the Elms Hotel and Spa and getting a couples massage followed by dinner at the Rieger Hotel and Bar!

LIFE IS GOOD!

I know it is Melinda, and I take full responsibility for the mischief I have gotten you involved with! I know this wasn't the only trickery I've gotten you into!

I was browsing around my computer when I decided to take a chance that Acorn Cottage would be alive and well again, and it was !!! I love the aqua silver winter glitter theme and it brightened my early morning here in rainy SoCal. Love all your entries ! Love, Sister Janet

I missed blogging Janet, and hope I can spend more time getting back into the groove! With everything going on in the world today, it's nice to have a happy little place to come and be able to focus on the blessings in my life!

Stunning photos! You both are looking beautiful together. Recently my friend got married at one of the famous San Francisco wedding venues. They threw a fantastic reception party at the same venue. It was so enjoyable and memorable. Best thing was the décor and food.

Springtime!

Spring has sprung and I am enjoying every little blossom and bird that comes my way! Have a beautiful day my friends!
