Skip to My Lou My Darlin'

Did I happen to mention how HAPPY I am that Spring is near?? The snow has melted which feeds the beautiful streams and rivers that run through our country. Can't you almost hear the sound of it...the force...yet peacefulness of being near rushing water. Pull up a chair, let the sun come down on your face and warm you up as the gentle mist keeps you cool.

Come for a drive and get some fresh air and take in all the sites and sounds. Fresh grass with dew drops hanging on...flowers growing in impossible places. Feel the happiness in your heart taking all the marvels around us!

There are robins back in the yard, and the daffodils have poked through the ground. The last of the snow has melted just in time for some crocus' and tulips to start coming up.

Life is good my friends! Every season that comes around I think this is my favorite season. Each one more marvelous than the next. Each one makes us appreciate the special things it has to offer. Take time to take a walk, put a sweater on, go out in your yard, take a look around.
Sit out on your back porch and CLOSE YOUR EYES...and listen to the birds singing, take a deep breath in and ENJOY LIFE!

Spring is definitely in the air where I live. Blossoming trees, spring bulbs, and blue sky. The world is coming back to life.

I feel it in my bones and in the soil, and in the sharp, clear air, and brilliant sunshine. Even here in California we have a spring.

Hay, I got your comment on my blog thanks for that I am studying photography & I would like to study to become a professional, but I also like Graphics like your daughter so it makes it hard to know which to take on. I am also not sure about university as its not the kind of thing I like as I am very shy & I struggle to get along with people, Yes I have my group of friends but its making new ones at a place like university that worry s me.

sigh....another gray, cold, wet, windy day here in the northeast. as much as i don't like hot weather, some sunshine would be nice. (although i do love hearing the rain on the roof!)

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for stopping by!

If you visited Cambria and ate at Linn's well, you must have visited my shop Heart's Ease, and herb and garden shop with antique books, huge gardens surrounding the old 1880's cottage, rose covered arbors and gazebo, an old barn and a quail-tipped picket fence. I had my shop from 1982 to 1996 and then sold it because of writing books and working for Country Living Gardener.

Do you happen to remember Heart's Ease. I loved it and the wonderful people it attracted.

All joys to you,

I did that exact thing this morning. One little black bird, tiny with a crew cut, just sang his tiny heart out. He was so close I could almost reach out and touch him.
Then he saw me..and was gone. But not far!
I loved your "signs of Spring" post SO much and is that a REAL robin? Sigh... :)

As far as wandering, actually I clicked on a site that was to take me to a site where my friend's blog was supposed to be critiqued. That is how I got there. When she said they had been pretty cruel in their comments, but that she had shugged it off..I should have known. I didn't and since she invited us to go see, I did. NO MORE! Awful place. Really awful. Some pretty terrible language, which was bad enough, but the name calling was sad. The whole thing was sad.
I quietly left and hope they cannot trace me with one of those counter thingy's I 've seen around. I simply ran.

I'm home! Pass the sugar, please?
Hugs and love,
Mona

I am soooooooooo ready for spring! You are right, I have begun to notice the little things such as birds chirping that I so easily take for granted.
