Acorn Collection

I originally posted these pictures in March, but HECK...I wasn't even friends with some of you back in the day and wanted to show you my Acorn Collection! It IS fall after all! I feel like my house just comes alive during this time of year...and I become like a little kid excited for the upcoming holidays. The anticipation is WONDERFUL! These are my little place card holders I purchased at Nell Hill in Atchison, KS. What a wonderful store!

My fall table setting, with yes....you see right....acorn and leaf confetti!

My acorn pie crust attempt!

My red transfer ware plates, with you guessed it...ACORNS on the rim of the plate!

Acorn cakelet pan from William Sonoma. So cool! Made them last fall and use edible gold dust to brush the tops. Everyone loved them!

My Acorn teapot set that my sweet co-worker bought for me. He said it had my name written all over it!

A little bit of my random acorn collection...ceramic, wood, felt, wrought iron...I'll take them in way, shape or form!

My Acorn plaque that sits on our mantel

My Acorn wreath that is up YEAR ROUND....a gift from my sister :)

Love your acorn pie crust .... I have a blue and white plate with the same acorn edge. Thanks for the repeat ... I'm a new friend and missed it the first time.

Hi, Nancy,
I enjoyed this acorn post very much. I'm an acorn person, also. Just love 'em!

Thanks for sharing this again since I wasn't around the first time. I just love acorns but never thought of a collection (my hubby would pass out if I began yet another collection). There is a huge oak tree just outside our post office. I make a point to park under it so I can crunch the acorns both on the way in and out. Yep, just like a kid.

I so want to get to Nell Hills--I've been trying to get there for about five years now but can't seem to find the time.

Have a lovely day!

Hi Nancy,
I saw your acorn tea pot, Oh yes I did!. If I ever come to visit, I will be carrying my very large purse. LOL
You have such a great collection of acorns. The fabric acorn is really special.
This was a fun post to see.
Take care and enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

LOVE the acorn theme! I love acorns, too -- they look as if they are wearing the most darling little hats.

I love the quirkiness of your collection. And did you really make all those little pie crust acorns around the border of that pie? Holy smokes.

Is there a 12 step program for Acorn addicts? Only kidding -- it's charming!

I love acorns and I wear a silver one on a silver chain around my neck. An acorn was the last gift my husband gave to me before he died.
Everything looks beautiful..and you have some really wonderful ones! Just beautiful!!

Hmmm, I have never seen an acorn collection but just love yours! I like the way you have decorated your blog for Halloween, so will it change for Thanksgiving? I will be checking back!

New to your blog -- I stopped in my tracks when I read Acorn -- I love them- I use to have scrub-oak all over at my last home. Every fall I'd gather a few bags and make things with them and also painted a acorn border leaf -- it looked so real friends could not help but want to touch.. Nancy, love all your acorns and since this is my first time here, I hadn't seen them before. I love acorns too and use a lot during fall to decorate, but looks like yours last year round.
Your love story about your life and engagement to Dan the Man is so touching. I love sappy stories.
Now that I have found you....be back soon
