Heavenly Flowers

Just wanted to share for shots from around the crib. I have a hard time going to work each day because I just want to stop and smell the flowers and watch the bees come drink the nectar and feel the spring breezes pass by with rays of sunlight coming through the tree leaves warming me up. Who wants to be at a desk when you have these beauties to gaze upon!

I don't know if it's where I bought my pansies, or using Miracle Grow potting soil, but they are doing fantastic this year. I've never had such tall pansies! They are just lovely and when I'm sitting in the living room the are right there visiting with me. I always think about Alice and Wonderland and the pansies singing.

Extreme close up of my hanging flower basket on the back porch.

This is one of my favorite flowers, foxglove with some allysum(sp?)planted all around. I love sitting out on our back porch overlooking the sea of emerald green. It couldn't possible get any better than this....well okay....maybe when the fireflies come out and turn my backyard into a magical forest.

Found you by accident and so enjoyed your flowers! Blue and yellow pansies together are my favorite! Now how did you get James Taylor? I did not think you could download his music. Anyway, love it!

Nancy, These are the prettiest flowers I've seen since moving from California(specifically Sonoma County). I love Pansies(we called them Johnny Jumpups, and Foxglove used to grow in my yard. It is difficult learning what can grow here in Colorado. I've enjoyed reading your blog and will be back. BTW, I didn't realize you had fireflies in Kansas, I thought they were more south-east. Have a beautiful weekend.
Hugs, Noreen

Our spring gardens are just getting sprung, with not a whole lot blooming yet. Though the lilacs are finally out, and for now, that is enough for me!

Hey Friend!

Just read through your Lake Tahoe post. Loved it and love Lake Tahoe!!! Such a magical place. Glad you had such a lovely time visiting with your mother and sisters!

Your flowers are doing lovely! I love this time of year...before the hot humid air moves in for the summer and things turn brown (unless you excessively water).

Have you been to Raised in Cotton? I just discovered their store and blog last week and have the craziest story about them. I plan to post on Monday about my discovery. I totally want to go there. BTW...dear husband surprised me with a gift certificate to the Curious Sofa! I've never been...only visited on-line. Can't wait!

Blessings,
Val

Your flowers are beautiful! I don't have much shade that I could grow pansies in, but I love looking at others. I've been thinking about putting some window boxes up though. Have a nice weekend.

Gorgeous photos my friend ~ I would love to have beautiful flowers filling my front porch, so I better get in gear! The past few weeks we've had nice weather here in Central Oregon, so I must relish the time and paint my thumb green ~ Thank you for sharing those, love the Window Box! xo Have a great weekend doll :)

I know how you feel and I am so very grateful that I don't work any more. I thought the day would never come..but it did. My days are my own and sometimes it is hard to believe it.
