Cross Stitch

This is the latest pattern I had to have from Prairie Schooler. Now mind you, I'm not even finished with project number one....but I couldn't resist! I love all of their patterns, and get weak in the knees for anything fall related, especially if there are acorns in the design!

I don't know if any of you are crafters, but I'm already starting to get panic-ky that it's the month of May, and thinking about how many homemade Christmas projects I need to complete! Last year I started in July, and that wasn't enough time. I still have projects I was intended to give last Christmas, that need to be finished up.

You see my problem is I wear rose colored glasses. I am the eternal optimist. I always have hope that I can bit off more than I can chew. BUT.....the rewards for giving the people you love homemade gifts from the heart is soooooooo worth it!

Am I the only one that has this affliction or are there other nuts out there like me?

Homemade gifts...good lord, woman...you put me to shame! I am going to attempt to make the gift jars this year (albeit, closer to December than July LOL) as Mary Catherine loves to be a big girl and help momma out in the kitchen! Through in my new love for digital designing and I think I can actually be holiday crafty this year!

Hope all is going well for you! Does hubby's new job mean relocation? If so we MUST get together before you leave. Please say you are not leaving...although the internet is sort of like being front porch neighbors!

By the way...love Sylas & Maddys for ice cream. Guess what, an adorable 1st grade teacher that I taught with was the daughter of the OWNERS (Olathe Distict schools)! Guess what we had for staff meeting treats when it was 1st Grades turn to provide treats? Yup, you guess right. Heavnly.

Hope all is going well. I haven't been around too much lately, but getting back into the swing of things!

Take care,
Valerie

Hey Nancy, No it's just you!!! Are you kidding me?? I am diligently working on finishing up several projects. Oh how I'd love to start a new counted cross stitch!! I LOVE the Autumn sampler!!

This year I think I am going to be gifting food baskets for Christmas. Homemade food. We'll see. Crafts would be easier because I could start earlier.

Have a great week!! I miss ya when you're not around for a couple of days!!
HUGS,
Becky

That sampler is adorable. I do other type of embroidery, and I could never figure out how cross stitch works. When I was living in France a few years back, they had the most gorgeous patterns for cross stitch, on regular weave fabrics. I could never figure out how you could get everything straight.
You are pretty good about getting a good start on Christmas, I always have these grand ideas of what I want to do, then get super lazy in the summer and think that I can start in October. Last Christmas, I actually got every thing I wanted done, and I started after Thanksgiving! Mind you I didn't try to do super human cool things, just some simple embroidered tea towels with homemade aprons to go with them. This year I think will be better.

P.s. I'm going to post the recipe for the muffins on the comment section of the post if you want it. Thanks for stopping by
