Visitors!!!!!

Just found out that my oldest (she'll love that term) sister is coming to town for Easter weekend! My sister loves her family and lavishes us all with lots of hugs! Her and her hubby are retired and have a truck and trailer and travel all over the USA. I get random postcards from wherever they are at so I know what the scoop is. She is the card Queen, master of backgammon and I defy ANYONE to beat her at Scrabble. She is the one who is responsible for giving me "perms" in the 80's! She has more stamina to shop than three teenagers on a slurpee high and is a mean cook out in the kitchen. Fellow coffee-aholic we both love a good french roast, although she has moved over to the other side and drinks hers black. We are DANISH and I will not drink coffee without cream...it just isn't right! When I get home from work, she will already be here, and I can't wait to see her and give her a big giant hug!

Hey Nanc!!! How fun to have a visit from your Sis!! I have 1 sis and 4 brothers. I usually see my Sis 3-4x a year, but because of some special family circumstances she has, I haven't been able to see her since last November. We are really close and it's really hard. We have our family reunion in July so I will get to see her for a week then.

I love your description of her!! And it's great to find out that you're a fellow coffee nut!! So many bloggers do the tea thing! I like iced tea, but only drink hot tea if I'm not feeling well.

Wow..I could go on and on!! Me and my Sis love Scrabble, too!! Ok I'll stop...

Have a joyful Easter! Check back for a clue tomorrow if no one guesses!!

Hugs 'n joy,
Becky

Have a wonderful time visiting with your sister! I am the "older" sister in my family and I love my "little" sister. Funny, but when we were growing up 6-years seemed like such a huge age difference. Now, as adults and mothers, the gap has narrowed!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend,
Valerie

How nice you get to see your sister...

I LOVE scrabble. I think I played like a million games with my grandma when I was little!

Glad you had a great Easter weekend!

Nancy,
I just found you while I was blog hopping! Was especially drawn to you because you are an "acorn" person. So am I! I love anything with acorn design. One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to pick up acorns and use them in Fall decorations.
Will be reading your blog often,
Hattie From TN

Hello.. :) This is my first visit. I found you on Painters Place and thought I would stop in and say hello. Right away...you had me smiling with the way you feel about your sister. I adore mine!
Also the very last gift my husband gave me was an acorn. He died less than a month later.
I have a sterling silver one that I wear.
Have a wonderful day. I am off to wander through your blog a bit more..
Have a wonderful day...
Mona
